Why use a steam vs electric autoclave? We are setting up a plant tissue culture lab and will be installing autoclaves. We currently use autoclaves that use electricity to generate their own steam, as opposed to units which run on house steam. Is there a reason not to use one which runs on house steam? I am assuming that any contaminant (chemical) in the house steam would have the potential to contaminate itmes being autoclaved. |
