Why is this - thermal expansion?? 10 points? Q: In a particular hospital, steam at high pressure and at 120 degrees celcius is produced in the boiler house and sent through a steel pipe to a steam steriliser, or autoclave, which is in another building 150m away. Calculate the change in length of the pipe if the temperature varies from 15 degrees celcius when cold to a maximum of 120 degrees celcius. |

it might be rong coz im like 12.... but i think ..
the horseshoe bends are there coz the heat would cause the metal to expand, the exta metal in the horseshoe bend replaces the space made by the expansion
I am starting to get into mycology and i was just curious if there was anywhere you could go to use lab tools! just let me know if i'm just ignorant, or if there is any place you can go publicly =d
What happens when water is not added to an autoclave? does is still sterilize? will it damage any instruments? is it possible to use too much water?
