Are there public labs where you can go to use autoclaves and other lab tools? (In southwest Michigan)? I am starting to get into mycology and I was just curious if there was anywhere you could go to use lab tools! |

Probably not... However, if there is a university near you with facilities and a nice professor, it is very likely that they would agree to let you use their lab in exchange for some menial jobs (i.e. autoclaving, shoving tips, washing dishes, etc). It's quite possible that they'd help to teach you as well if you were willing to volunteer. Look around at your local uni's website and email a prof doing stuff you're interested in. Most labs love to have volunteers.
